The Attentionist

Your attention is a sacred force — and how, and where, you place it is an act of creation.
— Mitra Manesh, The Attentionist
WHAT IT IS

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Mitra Manesh
The Attentionist · Author · Speaker · Teacher
I grew up in Iran surrounded by Persian poetry and philosophy. My first mentor, Mr. Pourjahani, was also the first person who called me the daughter of Rumi — because of a fascination I carried from an early age that I could not yet name.
I didn’t learn to read the way most people do. Dyslexia sent me on a detour — through colors, numbers, and geometry. Through the kind of knowing that doesn’t enter through the mind. It enters through the whole of you. That detour was the path.
For over four decades, on four continents, I have helped people of every age and many cultures remember what they already knew. I am a senior mindfulness educator at UCLA Mindful, an executive coach, a painter, a poet, and the mother of two liberated souls.
The Attentionist is my first book.
